Right after your treatment, the skin is freshly opened and healing, so for the first 24 hours you should definitely avoid all activities such as swimming, sports, or direct sun exposure.

After that, you can continue your holiday as normal, as long as you protect the treated area properly:

• Keep your face dry when swimming – you can still enjoy the pool or beach if you avoid submerging your brows or lips.
• Light exercise is fine, but avoid heavy sweating for the first few days.
• Stay out of direct sunlight; wear a cap or sun hat to protect the healing skin.
• Be mindful of dust, air pollution, and humidity – the area is still healing for several days and needs to stay clean.

Why does my PMU look so dark and bold right after treatment – and how will it evolve?

Immediately after pigment application, the result often appears much darker, bolder or “thicker” than the final outcome. This is because the pigments are fresh, and the skin has not yet fully surrounded or stabilized them. Especially during the first 24 hours and days, the appearance can change significantly—lines may appear wider, and the tone may look stronger.

The complete healing process for eyebrow or lip PMU typically takes around 4–6 weeks. During this time, the color, intensity and sometimes the edges of the work will gradually settle: the result becomes softer, pigments may fade slightly, and the overall look appears more natural.

During this phase, it is very difficult to assess whether a correction or touch-up is needed. That is why our standard procedure is: the final evaluation is done only after the healing period is complete (3–6 weeks). A touch-up within this framework is entirely standard practice, not an exception.

Please understand that patience during this period serves the long-term result—the final outcome will be visible after full healing.

Why do we recommend Nano Brows instead of Microblading?

At BBZ Bali, we now perform very few Microblading treatments — while Nano Brow sessions have become one of our most popular services, often done several times a day 💕 The reason is simple: Nano Brows are more advanced, gentler on the skin, and deliver softer, longer-lasting, and more natural results.

Microblading is an older technique (developed in Asia in the late 1980s — over 35 years ago). A tiny handheld blade creates small cuts in the skin and pigment is manually implanted. While it can look nice at first, the method is more invasive and can be quite painful, especially for sensitive skin.

• More prone to bleeding, especially after alcohol or blood-thinning medication the day before — this can reduce pigment retention and cause uneven healing.
• Often looks its best for only 6–12 months, depending on skin type, and may fade unevenly or turn slightly grayish.

With Nano Brows, pigments are applied using a modern PMU machine with an ultra-fine needle — no cuts and minimal skin trauma. The result is softer, cleaner strokes, less irritation, and a smoother healing process.

• Even, natural fading over 1.5–3 years.
• Easy touch-ups to refine color and shape over time.

Yes, absolutely – old or unwanted PMU (Permanent Makeup) can be removed without laser by using a special saline removal technique. This method has its origins in the USA and has been refined over the past years by professional PMU academies such as Li-FT™, Botched Ink™, and A+ Ocean™.

During the procedure, a sterile saline solution (a natural salt-based liquid) is gently worked into the skin with a PMU device. Through a process called osmosis, the solution helps draw the old pigment particles up and out of the skin as the treated area heals. Over time and with several sessions, the pigment fades significantly or can even be completely removed.

The technique is considered gentler than laser removal and does not damage the natural skin pigment. However, as with any PMU or tattoo removal method, multiple sessions are usually needed, and proper aftercare is very important to avoid irritation or scarring.

At BBZ Bali, we take this topic and the related health aspects very seriously. We have already completed the first professional training in saline removal and are currently deepening our knowledge through further courses. In addition, we are in the process of sourcing the right instruments, tools, and certified materials to meet our high safety and quality standards.

In some cases, we provide a special healing ointment after your PMU treatment. This cream is made specifically to support the skin’s recovery, protect the pigment, and reduce dryness or tightness during healing 💕

Normally, we recommend our standard rule: “dry healing” — meaning no creams or oily products, allowing the skin to regenerate naturally. This gives the best and most long-lasting results.

However, if your skin feels too dry, itchy, or tight after the procedure, applying a very thin layer of the ointment can make the healing process more comfortable. It forms a breathable protective layer without softening or disturbing the pigment.

So don’t worry — this cream is only used when needed and won’t affect your final results 🌸
